article #0012

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gen 6:4 (KJV) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after
that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare
children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of
renown.

Gen 6:5 (KJV) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually.

Gen 6:6 (KJV) And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart.

Even back in those days were wickness and evil-doing.  It's not something
new folks.  When we sin, it grieves the hard of our Lord regardless of what
sin it is.  Sin is sin.

Jas 2:10 (KJV) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one
point, he is guilty of all.

Rom 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 3:24 (KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus:

Rom 3:25 (KJV) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in
his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God;

Rom 3:26 (KJV) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he
might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

1Jn 1:8 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us.

1Jn 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confession of sins to our Lord of our wrong doing then rebuking the sin by
turning against (repenting) it is the way to find forgiveness with our Lord.

Act 3:19 (KJV) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of
the Lord;

Act 3:20 (KJV) And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached
unto you:

Act 3:21 (KJV) Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution
of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets
since the world began.

The more we turn from sin and live for God, the closer we are to Him.  He
has promised to forgive, so once you turn things around in your life, claim
His promise to him through prayer.  He is righteous and true to every word
he promised.

If God can blot out your sins and forgive, you are able to forgive yourself.
The reminder might be there for awhile, turn what you would have done in the
past into something right.

1Pe 4:7 (KJV) But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober,
and watch unto prayer.

1Pe 4:8 (KJV) And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:
for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1Pe 4:9 (KJV) Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

May peace rest with you.
