Article #0038 by Jon Justvig ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- How grateful are we really? We all need to appreciate everything we have. No matter how great or small it may be. The greatest gifts we have that we can give are those inside or those that can't be seen. Think of people that are rich and have everything they want... but do they really have everything they want? It's just like poor people that make it even though they barely have enough. Some may give everything they have, some may keep everything and some might keep a portion or somewhere in between. In everything give thanks according to scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. After all, everything comes from God and can be taken away by our own actions. It's up to us to do good deeds for people the best we can. God is true and pure and full of love and pours it out abundantly to those that receive him. The word needs to be spread to both the rich and poor and those in between. In all things give God thankfulness and bless his most high and glorious name. The best of them all... for Jesus paid the price for all of us. Remember Him in everything. I've been told that the presence of God is everywhere, not necessarily hearing an audiable voice but mother nature itself. Psalms 100:3 - Know ye that the LORD he [is] God: [it is] he [that] hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalms 100:4 - Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Some may think that giving love is a small thing, but think of how big God is. For God IS love. Give love to those around you. Share an act of kindness everywhere you go. Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Even praying for someone is an act of love. Prayer is what unites the everyone in the Kingdom of heaven. We may look foolish to some when we're on our knees, but in fact, we're strong prayer warriors defending God's honor. We need God more than anything in this world. We need Jesus and be guided by the Holy Spirit. If we can plant a seed to the lost, think how happy the angels in Heaven. Their happiness is reflected on us that follow the Lord Jesus Christ. We can't take the credit though, for God gets all the glory and credit. We're vessels for God to get this world back together again. Encourage someone today, tomorrow or even pray. Prayer isn't always audiable either, it is also in our thinking and actions. Try to do what's best in your heart that God would approve of. Delight in the Lord Jesus. Give all your doubts and worries to Him. Hold nothing back and He'll hold nothing back from you. I hope you enjoyed this article today and have a wonderful day or evening wherever you may be. God bless you. Amen. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
