by: Jon Justvig ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today I am going to discuss a little about God's forgiveness. God is a forgiving God and holds out His hand to us and hears us when we have a clean heart. We've all fallen short of being perfect for only one man on Earth was perfect and that was one that died on the cross for our sins and His name is Jesus. If we're to say we're without sin then we deceive ourselves and the truth is not within us. God's grace on us is an undeserving act that God gives us. Grace is something we didn't earn, but a free gift that God gives to us Christians. What does it mean to forgive? Think of someone that has wronged you. What did you do after they admitted what they did and what they did was wrong? Did you forgive them or did you hold that against them? God is a God of unconditional love. He loves us so much that He will never leave us nor forsake us. To forgive is to look past transgressions, those things that are holding us back from all the glory of what God has to offer. Romans 3:23-26: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 1 John 1:8-10: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalms 51:10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Matthew 5:8: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Let us rejoice during our struggles and through our victories. For God is a merficul God and loves us all. This concludes this article. May God bless you and keep you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
